ReStore

What is a Habitat ReStore?

A good deal for you, your community and the environment!

Habitat for Humanity ReStores are nonprofit home improvement stores and donation centers that sell new and gently used furniture, appliances, home accessories, building materials and more to the public at a fraction of the retail price. The first Habitat for Humanity ReStore opened in Austin, Texas, in 1992 as a means to sell donated building material that went unused at Habitat for Humanity construction sites. Since then, Habitat affiliates have opened more than 1,200 ReStores across the U.S. and Canada.

Carroll County Habitat for Humanity ReStore, located at 433 Hahn Rd, Westminster, MD, is an independently owned reuse store operated by Carroll County Habitat for Humanity.  The proceeds from our store are used to help build strength, stability, self-reliance and shelter in Carroll County. Additionally, when an item is donated to ReStore and purchased by a customer, it is diverted from the landfill. As a result, we are promoting environmental responsibility and divert tons of reusable building materials from taking up space in local landfills.
