No matter who we are or where we come from, we all deserve to have a decent life. We deserve to feel strength and stability day after day. We deserve to know we have the power to take care of ourselves and build our own futures. At Habitat for Humanity, this is what unites us. Through shelter, we empower. Our shared vision is a world where everyone has a decent place to live. Because you, me, we — we’re all humans. And every single one of us deserves the opportunity for a better future.
Habitat for Humanity is a nonprofit, ecumenical Christian housing ministry founded on the conviction that every man, woman and child should have a decent, safe and affordable place to live. We build with people in need regardless of race or religion. We welcome volunteers and supporters of all backgrounds. Habitat for Humanity International has helped to build over 500,000 decent, affordable houses and served 2.5 million people worldwide.
Here in Carroll County, we work locally to select and support homeowners, organize volunteers and coordinate house building and repair. Homeowners are selected based on their need for housing, their ability to repay a mortgage and their willingness to work in partnership with Habitat. Habitat does not discriminate on the basis of race, religion, ethnicity or any other difference.
