Habitat Happenings Fall 2022

Greetings!
We are bursting with good news this fall! We recently welcomed two new Board members. Dave Rampolla is a Production Control Manager at Northrop Grumman Corporation and has been a valuable volunteer for years. He is the current Chair of our Construction Committee. Jose Flores is Alternative Dispute Resolution Coordinator at U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development. Jose is an Army Veteran and will support our new Veteran Build program.
In ReStore news, we are delighted to announce that we have been selected by the Carroll County Times as the Best Furniture Store in Carroll County and the runner-up in the Thrift Store category! We are also participating in CAW to Action, a United Way project, on Monday, October 3rd. A mix of our volunteers and the Ravens organization will help build out our new media center and children’s area. WE WILL BE OPEN TO THE PUBLIC during the event, a rare opportunity to shop on a Monday. We will also have special sales throughout the day.
Hammer & Ales returns to Pub Dog Brewing on October 5th. Please join us and enjoy this fun opportunity to network while you support our Homebuilding Program. Raffles include an opportunity to win a cord of wood (2 available), a foursome of golf at River Downs Golf Course, a night at the Best Western of Westminster, unique ReStore finds, and an original Sea Glass window. We will also offer exclusive opportunities to sign up for new art classes at the Restore. Buy your tickets today!
Speaking of new ReStore classes, we have an Altered Art Paint and Sip class scheduled for October 13th, 6:30-8:30 PM. Upcycle donated art into a personalized masterpiece! You do not need to be an artist to enjoy this class! We will have teachers on hand to help jog your imagination and guide your talent. Class size is limited, sign up now!
Whether you are a donor, sponsor, volunteer, ReStore shopper, or waiting for a chance to join our mission, we are grateful for your support!
With Gratitude,
Scott
