Habitat for Humanity of Carroll County Announces New Executive Director
Westminster, MD — Habitat for Humanity of Carroll County is pleased to announce that Amy Larocque-Rumano has been selected as the organization’s next Executive Director. She will begin her role on January 12, 2026. Current Executive Director Scott Swartz has submitted his resignation, with a final date to be determined. He will remain with the organization during the transition period to ensure strong continuity.
Scott’s leadership over the past four years has guided significant growth, including the launch of the ReStore and advancement of the Westminster Avenue subdivision project. “It has been an honor to serve this community,” said Scott Swartz. “Habitat for Humanity of Carroll County is entering an exciting period of expansion, and I have complete confidence in Amy’s leadership as she takes the organization forward.”
The search for a new Executive Director was led by a committee that engaged staff, board members, and community partners and evaluated candidates to ensure alignment with Habitat’s mission and long-term vision. “With the selection of Amy Rumano, we are proud to begin a promising new chapter for Habitat for Humanity of Carroll County.” said Tony Acampa, Board Vice President.
Board President Dave Bond expressed appreciation for Scott’s service and excitement for the future. “Amy and I have already begun the transition process, and we are both fully committed to the continued growth of Habitat for Humanity of Carroll County,” he said.
Habitat for Humanity of Carroll County looks forward to Amy’s leadership as the organization expands affordable housing opportunities, advances the Westminster Avenue project, and strengthens critical home repair services.
