#GivingTuesday–Meet Mr. Pickles

🐾 A #GivingTuesday Story from Mr. Pickles the Cat 🏡💙

This #GivingTuesday, you can help more families — and more furry friends like me — find the love and stability of home. Every donation helps Habitat for Humanity build safe, affordable houses where families (and their pets) can finally belong.

🐾 Please give today and help make more happy endings like mine possible.

Because everyone — human or feline — deserves a place to call home.

A Message from our Executive Director-Why we need your help on #GivingTuesday

These are tough times for working class families. Food and fuel prices are rising faster than wages. Meanwhile, there is a growing shortage of affordable housing in Carroll County. And it’s not just the lowest income families who are struggling to make ends meet.

One third of Carroll County residents spend more than 30% of their income on housing. Even many of our local teachers, healthcare workers, and first responders are struggling to achieve the American dream of homeownership—and many are finding it beyond their reach.

In short: The need for more Habitat Homes has never been greater.

A Habitat home gives families stability and security to help weather the toughest economic storms. Affordable mortgage payments mean that Habitat homeowner families can better absorb the shock of sudden price hikes on necessities like food and fuel.

That is why Habitat is racing to help so many families right now. Please take a moment to make your gift today and stand with Habitat as we build a stronger future for local families.

Bless you for your compassion and generosity. I wish you a joyful and peaceful holiday season.

With Gratitude,

Scott Swartz, Executive Director, Habitat for Humanity of Carroll County

PS- With your help, Habitat for Humanity can continue to provide the hand up— not a handout—that transforms lives.
